Food & Diet
-They eat Purina Pro Plan Kitten Dry Grain Free..AKA True Nature. Make sure its Grain free kitten food. This can only be purchased at a pet store.
They eat Fancy Feast Kitten Canned Morning and Night. I mix in the nuVet in the Dry food given in the morning. They like the kitten brand by Fancy Feast, but they all love the flavors Trout and Cod. They also like to eat Sheba portions.
Sheba portions is not a full balanced diet for them to eat alone. This is just very tasty to them and i can allows get them to eat if i give this to them no matter what. If you have a picky eater, sure bet they will like this, but do not feed them solely this. Its a nice mix up for them. Kittens favorites are pate blend Tuna, Turkey,Chicken, Beef. They do also like these flavors in the cuts blend. Around 8-9 weeks i will start to let them have some cuts and not just pate form. They do eat more Fancy feast than sheba. Ill give it to them, once every couple days. More often to an Pacific kitten if I'm trying to keep food going in often or if one isn't eating regularly and refuses to give up the bottle. I have that from time to time. They will scream at me till I give in, so this is a good suppliment to get them to solid foods regularly. They may also go home with milk suppliment. I feed them milk replacement, stage 2 kitten as an extra protein supplimemt to ensure they are getting more than they need. Some kittens just don't want to give up their baby milk. I do allow them to have it longer than they should, but it is not hurting anything to let them have it. I also sprinkle the powder form on the dry food. Shouldn't do this at your home regularly because this can not sit out for long periods of time. Here I have no worried about it. Less than 45 mins later it is gone, and my big kids have seen to that there is non left in the dish.
They DO NOT like the vitamins in
their soft food. They will not eat it.
You will sprinkle a half teaspoon per kitten, on their dry food only, once a day. It does not matyer day or night, but try to pick either or and make it your system yo do daily. If more than 1 kitty is eating it then I can assist in a appropriate amount that is now needed. Depends on age and size of kitty eating.
Kitty Litter
-Scoop Away or Fresh Step
(It is the best)
Eye Cleaning
-It is normal for Persians to tear, especially when they are kittens. The more extreme faced they are, the more they will tear. Take a warm wash cloth and wipe them out daily so their fur will not stain. You can also use Johnson's baby shampoo around their eyes to clean their fur. If you choose to, also baby wipes can be used. Sensitive and no perfumes.
Daily Brushing
-Purchase a wire brush with not too sharp bristles. A metal comb with fine at one end, and medium at the other. These can be found at any pet store, Walmart, &Target. Each kitten will come with a brush and comb in their kitten bags, so you don't have to purchase before.

I have 13 cats total. 3 boys and now 10 girls, I have a new baby I am keeping, that I love to death. My boys do not spray as well. We all get along in love and harmony. My home is a decent size, so the girls are roaming everywhere, and anywhere they choose too. The boys are in the master suite most of the time, if they are not roaming along with the girls. (This is to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Plus it protects my girl from getting pregnant when they should not. Each mommy needs at least 8 months of healing time between pregnancies.) Believe me they never want to leave. They are all sprawled out on the gigantic King bed, day and night. There is a couch for them as well. The Master bath is attached, so they have that area as well. They graciously let me sleep there at night. As long as I stick to my side. Honestly doesn't matter because they sleep on me. In the spring and summer, I have a upper deck that wraps around the back with a kitty door in the screen where they can go outside and lounge in the sun. Yes this is why their name is Pure Royalty. That is exactly what they are.
Persians Have to be combed out at least every other day. This is not a choice, this is a factor, and a requirement in owning one of these beauty's. So if you feel you do not have time to do so, well my suggestion is...Do not purchase a Persian cat. This is a life time commitment. Think before you make this discussion.
